Field CCSD # 3

As part of our commitment to safety and security preparedness at Field School, we will be conducting an intruder/evacuation drill with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, October 3, 2025. Students will be instructed on how to respond in the event that an intruder would enter our building. The goal of this exercise will be to practice our emergency management ALICE procedures. ALICE is an acronym that stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate. We are so excited that our new playground is being installed! Ms. Arnold has put in a lot of time and effort to make this happen. Grants have been applied for and donations secured from RWE Solar and McCarthy Construction. The new location of the playground will increase student safety and eventually allow for more parking. Please excuse the mess during this time. The original planning would have had this project completed over the summer, but there were delays with the shipping of the equipment.

The 8th grade parent meeting will be Thursday, September 25 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. The later start will allow softball players and parents to attend after their regional game.

The girls softball regional game that was supposed to be last night will now be tomorrow (Thursday). The game will start at 4:30 and be played at the Salem Sports Complex. The bus will leave at 3:15. There will no girls basketball tryouts tomorrow due to softball. Basketball tryouts have been moved to Friday 4:00-5:30 There will be boys basketball tryouts tomorrow night from 5:30-7:15

Fifth grade uses mannequins to practice gesture drawings in STEAM class

Due to the regional baseball game being moved to Wednesday, there will be no boys basketball open gym this week. Tryouts will be on Thursday from 5:30-7:15 for boys in 5-8 grade.

See You At The Pole at Field Grade School will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24 at 8am! All ages are welcome to join. This event is hosted by “Reach Out,” a student-led Bible study group.

The regional baseball game scheduled for tonight has been postponed until tomorrow (Wednesday). Same plan as tonight. Our boys will play after the conclusion of the first game which starts at 4:30

Boys basketball open gym scheduled for tonight has been moved to tomorrow (Wednesday) from 4:00-5:30 due to the regional baseball game.

All PE classes will be outside tomorrow (9/23) and Thursday (9/25) weather permitting. Please make sure your child has their outside tennis shoes.
Crocs, boots, sandals, etc are not allowed.

Update:
PE classes will be inside until school pictures are complete. Then we will be outside for classes.
Students do not need to have tennis shoes for PE due to having pictures.

Picture Day is tomorrow, Friday, September 19th! Yearbook photos will be taken along with Cross Country and Softball/Baseball photos. Make sure students have their uniform/equipment with them as photos will begin first thing in the morning.
